• Proud – chocolate with signature praline; for example: Carree, Coeur and Iconique
• Mild – includes white chocolate with a soft texture; for example: Lamousse, Mokalata, Cannelle and Mielodie
• Seductive – fruit-flavoured dark chocolate; for example: Cherie, Razabelle and Poirelle
• Crispy – chocolate and nut combination; for example: Croustine, Pramandine and Noisettine.
Exclusive to travel retail, the Platinum Collection comes in a 235g box of 20 pieces and is also available in boxes of 16 pieces and eight pieces.
According to Communications Manager for Europe Natalie Buelens the name Platinum represents the premium quality of the collection. Created to attract the younger customer, the Platinum Collection aims at modernity in its diversity of pattern (inspired by the fashion world), texture and flavour. Master Chocolatier Jean Claude Sibret told The Moodie Report that Godiva’s brand logo has also been updated in effort to generate a contemporary image.
In other product news, Godiva also previewed its Christmas Gift Box. This includes an assortment of 12 current chocolate pieces in a 160g box. It was created specifically for the festive season.
