Godiva Chocolate Truffles: Why Still Nothing Says 'I Love You' Like Chocolate

Many fancy the wiles of chocolates including godiva chocolate truffles as an inducement to love -- as it was considered a staple for seduction by the French. Though they were not the only ones; apparently Casanova imbibed chocolate before many of his amorous escapades.

For those who wonder if chocolate really has a "love chemical," chocolate truffles contains chocolates that has phenylethylamine (PEA), a compound that releases the natural feel-good chemicals called endorphins in the brain. PEA is released by the brain when people are falling in love. If the PEA induced by an actual love relationship lasts longer than that caused by the ingestion of chocolate and chocolate truffles a like, then again chocolate is easier to procure than a relationship. One survey found that 50 percent of women preferred chocolate over sex.
